"Twilight Visitors"

By:
Greg Benson
Lights from the town shimmer across the freezing water as sounds of laughter echo up the hill from the cafe. Passing deer are alert but the cabin residents have walked down the hill to join friends at the cafe to talk about the coming winter and reminisce about previous winter fun, (hidden images of a boy in a sled on the right and a snowman in the center). Greg says, “the hidden images i've painted have always been things from the past. As this painting neared completion I suddenly saw what looked like a snowboarder!” (lower left corner). “It was completely unintentional. Perhaps it was nature's way of saying, “it's good to remember the past but no matter what, the future is coming.”
