The brilliant evening light highlights the joy of a winter hayride. Two children on their first ice fishing adventure look down the mysterious hole wondering, “are there fish really down there?” Two boys want to catch up and get into the wagon while a third is likely to be the next one pushed off. American's have always found ways to play in the winter and many are descended from European immigrants who brought their traditions of winter activities with them. If you look closely you may find hidden images of two men enjoying the sports of curling, a woman ice skating, and a man skiing.
